AAPOR, or the American Association of Public Opinion Research, which represents more than 2,000 public opinion and survey research professionals in the United States and around the world from academia, media, government, the non-profit sector, and private industry, has rolled out a new group for aspiring and experienced independent consultants.
To learn more about AAPOR’s ConsultPOR, a community-development effort with a low cost to entry, ICN Executive Director Brian Fowler connected with ConsultPOR’s Founders, Lisa Lin-Freeman, Harmoni Noel, and Paul J. Lavrakas.
ConsultPOR is an AAPOR affinity group for aspiring, junior, and experienced independent consultants who conduct public opinion, survey, or social science research across a wide range of topics, clients, and methodologies.
ConsultPOR is to be a place for consultants to share, connect, and address their career successes and challenges through networking, learning events, quarterly meetings, AAPOR conference activities, and a forum for asking questions and sharing resources.

How does communication work?
We use an AAPOR-affiliated listserv that is just for ConsultPOR members. Join ConsultPOR and you will be added to the listserv. We also send out meeting invitations.
