What Personally Identifiable Information Is Collected
By using our website and services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information you provide voluntarily. You may give us contact and professional information when you:
- Sign up for ICN membership or create an account
- Subscribe to our newsletter or other e-communications
- Register for a networking event, conference, or donation-based program
- Submit a job opening to the Insights Job Referral List
- Apply or express interest in a role posted on our job board

- Make a donation or pay a membership fee

Depending on which of these you use, the information may include your name, email address, phone number, employer and job title, location, professional background or resume, and details about the roles you are hiring for or seeking.

Job Listings, the Insights Job Referral List, and Job Board
ICN connects people in the insights and market research community with opportunities. Because of that, we share some information by design, and we want to be clear about how that works.
If you submit a job opening. Information you provide about an open role, including the role details, hiring organization, and the contact information you designate for applicants, is intended for publication and distribution. We may share it through the Insights Job Referral List, our job board, our newsletter, our LinkedIn group and other social channels, and with content and distribution partners such as GreenBook. Please do not include personal information in a job submission that you are not comfortable having distributed publicly.
If you are a job seeker. When you apply to a role, express interest, or ask to be referred, we may share your name, contact information, and the professional details you provide with the hiring organization, recruiter, or hiring manager associated with that role. Once we share your information with a third party, that party’s privacy practices govern how they handle it. ICN does not sell candidate information.
Job board membership. If you purchase or hold a job board membership, we maintain a record of your membership status in our CRM in order to provide access to member-only listings and features.
Service Providers and Third Parties
ICN uses trusted third-party services to operate. These include HubSpot, which serves as our customer relationship management system and the system of record for contacts, forms, and email communications; our website and hosting providers; and payment processors that handle membership fees, event registrations, and donations. Our payment processors handle payment card details directly, and ICN does not store full payment card numbers.
These providers may access your information only as needed to perform services on our behalf.
ICN may also share information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with an organizational merger, transfer, or similar event.
Email Privacy
ICN does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside the organization.
Your Choices
You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message, or by contacting us directly. You may also contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you, or to ask that we remove your submission from the Referral List or job board. We will respond to reasonable requests consistent with applicable law and our recordkeeping obligations.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and maintain our membership, donation, and job listing records, or as otherwise required by law. We remove or archive job listings and Referral List entries once a role is filled or the listing expires.
Children’s Privacy
ICN’s services are intended for working professionals and are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Social Media and Community Spaces
ICN maintains a presence on LinkedIn and other social platforms, including a LinkedIn group. Information you post in those spaces is governed by the privacy policies and terms of the platform hosting them, not by this policy. Please use your own judgment about what you share in public or group discussions.
External Links
Our website includes links to external websites, including job postings hosted by employers and resources hosted by partners. These links are outside our domain, and ICN is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites. Your use of any linked website is solely at your own risk.
Modifications
